Our recently appointed Club Professional, Scott Mansfield, can offer an extensive experience in coaching, club repairs, and retail operations and will be offering expert tuition through a variety of options from individual lessons to packages including playing lessons. “The great thing about the Launceston Golf Club is that we can help you with all aspects of your golfing journey. We have a driving range, chipping green, practice bunker and putting green for learning technique and club fitting. And we have a beautiful parkland golf course for playing lessons.

From the beginner who is learning how to hold a club for the first time and never been on a golf course, to the regular player who would like their clubs to be just right, or would like to improve their course management. We can help.

I’ve been teaching and supporting golfers for almost 30 years. In 2022 I was nominated for PGA Queensland Development Coach of the Year for my work in creating a Junior and Ladies Pathway Program and for promoting golf at the local Primary and High Schools.

Watching people learn is the best way to learn how to teach.

The game and the courses we play are forever challenging but the act of moving the ball is a simple concept. I can help you with some very basic and effective ways to practise that will give you a good understanding of the game and a more consistent strike.
